About Me

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy (1st Class) | MCSP | HCPC
Comprehensive Pilates Practitioner (Polestar Pilates)
I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2008 with 1st Class Honours. Having spent over 14 years in acute hospital and specialist respiratory settings I have developed a deep understanding of complex pathology and rehabilitation. This clinical experience equips me with the specialised skills to safely and effectively work with clients managing:
-
Chronic Health Conditions: By adapting movement for long term wellbeing
-
Injury Recovery: Helping you navigate the journey from acute pain back to full function

My transition into Pilates started with my own personal practice. After years of attending classes and experiencing the transformational benefits in my own body and mind I qualified as a Comprehensive Pilates Practitioner with Polestar Pilates. I chose Polestar specifically for its evidence based, holistic approach. The rigorous training allows me to tailor Pilates to the individual, particularly those navigating rehabilitation. I have now transitioned to working exclusively with Pilates offering 1:1 | 2:1 | small group sessions from my private garden studio. By combining my Physiotherapy roots with the Polestar Pilates method I offer a level of clinical reasoning that goes beyond standard fitness instruction.
My commitment to Physio-led Pilates is also deeply personal. Living with Lupus has given me a unique perspective on managing a long term condition, and how movement can be incredibly beneficial to managing flare ups and pain. My clinical background combined with my firsthand experience allows me to truly meet my clients where they are. I fully understand the nuances of fluctuating energy levels and the importance of pacing. The versatility of the studio apparatus means I can vary each session to suit your body's needs. On days when you feel more fatigued or experiencing a flare up we can use the equipment for gentle assisted support. On your stronger we can introduce resistance to build long lasting resilience.

When I'm not in the studio my daily Pilates practice helps me keep active playing playing badminton and going to the gym. I'm at my happiest when we're heading off on an adventure in our campervan with my husband and son, or taking a long walk in the forest with our beloved cockapoo Amber. I'm also a huge music fan and love hunting for new vinyl, playing the guitar or heading to a live gig or festival.
